Bina Marga Plans to Start Permanent Road Repair End of April

End of April, Jakarta Bina Marga Department is about to start repairing damaged roads, especially that damaged by inundation.

After all the processes are complete, we will repair the road permanently at the end of this month

Jakarta Bina Marga Department Head, Hari Nugroho stated, his side will start repairing those damaged road permanently using hot mix and concrete layer after completing e-purchasing process in National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP).

"E-katalog process in BPPBJ is already completed. But we still need to process its purchasing in LKPP. After all the processes are complete, we will repair the road permanently at the end of this month," he explained, Wednesday (4/10).

Temporarily, his side uses cold mix asphalt method to repair the damaged roads.

"Cold mix asphalt doesn't last long or about two weeks. But later, after scraping up off the road, we will make new construction and coat it with hot mix asphalt," he conveyed.

According to him, the most damaged road is Cilincing Raya road because it is often passed by large tonnage vehicles such as container trucks. Thus his side will use casting concrete not hot mix to make it lasts longer.
